Hi there, my artsy-craftsy friends! How were you all that time? I'm so sorry, that I left you for so long! I had some things going on in my personal life so I had no time for my blog and video channel. But now I'm back and very happy to be here for you again! I hope you will like my new tutorial.

I would like to present for you today mini album project. It is pretty much simple and won't take too much of your time, but will be great present for your Valentine. And even if you don't need St. Valentine Day present, you may use this technique for any other occasions, like birthdays or Christmas etc.
You will need:

  • 5 peaces of patterned cardstock 8 1/4"
  • 4 peaces of plane cardstock 1.5"
  • 1 peace of patterned paper 5 1/8" (double-sided paper will be better, but not necessary; if you will use one-sided paper - you will need 2 peaces)
  • ribbon 18"
  • any embellishments of your chose
  • 5 photos 3 7/8"
  • inks, glue, pencil, ruler, scissors,  and any tools that you have and would like to use.
In different stages of the project I used paper trimmer, frame punch board, scoring board, bone folder, border punches, stamps, corner punches and some other tools.

First what you will need to do is to make frames from our cardstock sheets. If you good in to making origami it will be easy for you. Not so much for me, so I made a pencil markup.

Then I just folded my sheet into frame. You will better see the process in the video. Everything else was pretty simple. I just fixed finished frames with each over, using small peaces of plane cardstock. Then I made the box and embellished it. Also I prepared embellishments for inside and outside parts of my album and placed its as i liked most. Finish part was glued whole album down to the box and put my photos into frames. And that was all! How simple is that?!!

I am really happy with my finished product. And I anticipate my Valentine's reaction to it.
I hope you enjoy this tutorial too and will try it yourself. I wish you the happiest St.Valentine Day! And wish you to spend it with your loved-one and received most precious gift! I will see you soon
P.S. I would like to add couple advices that may help you with the project:

  1. Don't glue your frames too tightly, you will need some flexibility when you will put your photos inside.
  2. If you would embellish your frames with boarders - put your photos inside first, and then cautiously embellish it around.
  3. Cut your photos little bit smaller then frames.
  4. Make box little bit bigger, so if your embellishments stick out of the album they still will go inside the box.
  5. It is not necessary to use photos for this project, you may put cards with wishes into frames, or some other memorabilia.
