Cupcake Madness, Or If You Want To Make Something Special Very Quickly
Hi guys! How are you today? I hope that great! I was missing you all so much!
I was in small vacation, but now I'm back and plan to please you with new posts and projects on a regular basis.
Today I would like to present to you easy and very effective project.
You may create this congratulation cupcake for any occasion and your recipient will be impressed each time!
You will need foam ball. I used ball of 2.75" in diameter, but you may use any size.
I cut ball on two halves using crafting knife.
I have prepared a tag that will fit the size of our ball. Then I used dimensional adhesive and created frame around my tag.
Note: be sure to left some space between tag and adhesive, so you can take it out easily.
Then we put both halves together. As you see, tag fit inside great.
Next step was to cut circle of slightly smaller diameter than our ball. This will be the base of our cupcake.
Then I glued some lace to the paper circle.
Note: please, use strong fabric adhesive for lace, or it may easily fall apart.
Then I cut stripe of the same patterned paper as base circle, of 2.5" wide and 12" long.
If you want to make your cupcake extra fancy, you may use border punch on your paper stripe.
Then we bend our paper. Each band is 0.25" wide. I was using scoring board, but it isn't necessary, you always may make it by hand.
This is what you should have at this point.
Then we glued sides of the paper stripe together.
I used hot glue gun to glued paper to base and fixed foam ball inside paper cup.
While glue was cooling, I stamped message on my tiny tag and embellished it.
I added several layers of ribbons and lace on top of my cupcake again using hot glue.
Note: put your tag inside the foam ball, so you won't cover the gap.
Next steps are completely of your choice. As you see, I glued some embellishments, poured glaze over the top and sprinkled that all with glitter. But this is just the example, you always may came up with something of your own.
